I just wanted a good burger and onion rings. This place delivered. So good! It is pricey, but you get what you paid for. Big portions with great flavor. Didn't try anything on the cocktail menu, yet. Definitely will go back and try more!

We went here for lunch. Looking at the menu once we sat down, we immediately asked "Do they have a lunch menu?" because the prices looked like dinner. I had the Prime Rib Sandwich. It was very tasty. My coworker had the BBQ Chicken chopped salad. She found it very delicious. The environment was clean, the staff was very friendly and the food was tasty. The negative was they they are pricey.

I happen to come across Bandits while looking for something new. The waitress let us know they are known for their tri tip. Let me say it was some of the best tri tip. I would give it 5 stars however it's a bit pricey. But that is being picky. Great food

Loved Bandits in Park City, so I was anxious to try this new one in Holladay. Atmosphere is excellent, food is not. I was bummed to have overly raw tri-tip. Not just red meat, but still chewy because it hadn't been cooked long enough to tenderize. I hope they can get their act together and put PC quality food in this new location.

I stopped here for dinner and ordered the bbw combo. I had the ribs and the bbq chicken. The ribs were extremely dry but the chicken was moist. I guess i should have sent it back but I was hungry and did not want to deal with it. It's kind of pricey for the quality of food you get. I was not impressed. I gave 2 stars because the place looks nice otherwise no stars.

After a long day out hiking in the canyon, my wife and I stopped in here to grab some food on the way home. The restaurant was extremely clean, the staff very nice and the service was fast. But more than that... The food was amazing. Sampler appetizer: The fried onions dipped in their chipotle ranch.. Wow, these are the best fried pickles I have had (and I actively seek them out everywhere I go! The Onion rings were huge, with a perfect batter to onion ratio and the buffalo wings were the perfect amount of spicy, with just a little too much sauce (the way it should be served). Jalapeno Jack Burger with Herb Garlic fries: Let me start with the fries... These are oh so tasty, and I saved some of the chipotle ranch from the appetizer to dip them in. Lastly, the burger. It was really good, no complaints (especially after I put some of their BBQ Sauce on it). However, all the sides and starters were so perfect, that the burger just tasted somewhat run of the mill. Don't let this discourage you though, like I said it was still good!

This place is near my work so I primarily go with large groups for work birthdays or order takeout. Food is tasty and they provide plenty of it. This review is regarding their takeout service. Consider yourself warned that the prices listed on their website's menu are very misleading. Just today, my chop salad that is listed as $13.99 on the website (hella expensive for a salad) was charged $17.99 when I went to pick it up. It was explained to me that the up-charge was for the tri-tip, even though this is listed as a, "choice of chicken breast or tri-tip" on the menu with no mention of the additional charge. I brought this to the attention of the manager and she did not accommodate the price. Thanks, assholes. This is good way to lose me and my company's future business.

My new lunch go to! Came in for lunch, Nick our server was so fun and prompt. Got the lunch special which was more food than I expected. Great deal for the amount of food you get. Their garlic fries are awesome!!!! My friend got their chicken salad which was delicious. Manager came by to check on us and struck up a conversation....she was so sweet. ( dark curly hair) Its nice to see management actually talking to guests instead of in some corporate back office. I will definitely be back and tell my friends about Bandits.

After returning for dinner, I just can't feel good recommending this place to friends. The service is too slow, everything on the menu, with the exception of the smoked meats, is mediocre, and the prices are just too darned high for what you get. I'd rate them 2 1/2 stars, but since you can't do halves, I'm calling it 2 and recommending you look elsewhere for your barbecue fix.

I didn't let a cheesy name like Bandits discourage me from trying out this new restaurant. Think sleek steakhouse meets upscale barbeque with a swanky side bar (which happens to be filled with some really good looking patrons). We took the whole family out for dinner and were able to try several items: Deviled eggs ($5.49), Quinoa harvest salad ($13.99), crispy chicken sandwich ($13.79) and a steak kids meal ($8.99). The Deviled Eggs looked cool with an almond on top, but the filling was really salty and yolk mixture was overly blended and had a pasty texture. Meh. The Quinoa Harvest Salad was huge, as it should be for a whopping $13.99. I could only eat half and that was even a struggle. It was filled with quinoa, kale, pecans, apples, cranberries, goat cheese and mixed with a light citrus vinaigrette. Even though all the ingredients were appealing, somehow when mixed together they all kind of got lost together. FYI...Luna Blanca next door has a WAAAY better version of a big quinoa and kale salad for $8. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich was a panko crusted fried chicken breast served with Asian slaw and pickled vegetables. The fries were top notch. This sandwich was very good. Was it $13.79 good? Not sure. The kids meal was top quality and my son loved the big portion of steak and french fries. It was $8.99 and the steak was a nice tender cut and I was impressed. Overall, a nice place to dine, the service was attentive and they were very accommodating to children. The prices here would make it difficult to justify coming here regularly. More of a special occasion restaurant. Some of the items were hit or miss and it seems like the meats are a safe bet. They do have a wood fired barbeque. Maybe I need to come back and check out the swanky bar sometime soon?

Cottonwood Height is growing up! Bandits is a slightly more upscale restaurants so if you are a broke dick looking for a cheap eats on date night please try Arby's or get a new job. This will be a new local joint for me since it is down the road. from my house. Food choices are creative and well thought out. Many regional choices that will do well with the out of town skiers. I had brick chicken which was super juicy, be prepared because this dish takes a little while to cook. The bar looks pretty legit. Looking forward to pounding down some beers here.

This place was disappointing. While the space itself is quite nice, the service was really slow and the food was pretty average. We started with the fried pickles and they were really, really tasty. I enjoyed the dipping sauce that they were served with and the fact that they remained crispy throughout the entire meal. Unfortunately, that was the highlight. As for my entrée, I went with a full rack of baby back ribs, half with the regular BBQ sauce, the other half served with the Jamaican-jerk sauce. I must say, I enjoyed both styles very much, but tend to lean toward the jerk sauce due to the spiciness of it. Boy was it spicy. The problem with the ribs wasn't the flavor, but the preparation. They were super dry and tough - way overcooked. My buddy got the same thing and his were just as overcooked as mine were. And while the garlic fries on the side were really tasty, the portion size was just way too small. My wife had the tri-tip with the jerk sauce and couldn't really eat it because it was so spicy, and she loves spice. All in all, while nothing was really bad, nothing really stood out as being great either, other than perhaps the pickles, that is.

The food here is AMAZING!!! I love their wings. They are smoked with a spicy, sweet bbq sauce. We went for lunch as a Saturday family outing and found the restaurant to be clean and quiet. Our server and the manager were extremely helpful and quick. I loved the meal and the experience. I highly recommend giving them a try!!!

I wish i could do half stars, because Bandits' would be a 2.5. I've been here twice now, and had very similar experiences. The restaurant was very empty, which is definitely disappointing. I think it would be a fun atmosphere with more noise and people. Both times took forever as far as getting our order taken. I would understand if it was packed, but being the only people there, the waiters did not show much urgency. The menu is a nice one. Lots of different choices, ranging from veggie sandwiches to burgers to BBQ. Each table comes with a bottle of BBQ sauce, so it's hard not to grab some ribs and have at it. My first visit, I got the boring ol' burger. 2.5 stars is exactly what it was. It was good, but far from great. Not seasoned incredibly well, lettuce was a little overdone as far as quantity and the best part was the BBQ sauce I added from the table. The fries were great, but the amount you get is pretty disappointing. At $12 or whatever is was, I would expect a little more. Second time I got the chicken breast plate. We had a table of 14 (i know that should take a while) but being there 2 hours was a little much. Slow to take our order, slow to get our food, didn't bring our check until 15 minutes after we were all done. Anyway, the chicken was 2.5 stars. The jerk sauce was good. But it was 1 single breast, wasn't trimmed well, and could have been cooked a little longer... it IS bbq after all. Once again... small amount of fries. Sad Day. At the end of the day, i wouldn't come back here on my wallet. If someone else offers, i'd be fine coming here. But the prices are too much, and the service really needs work.

I shouldn't start out by speaking about the price of our dinner, so I won't. i'll start out by saying I like the location. I like the ambience. Comfortable, clean and contemporary. The dining room smelled like their barbecue sauce - very appealing. The service by the waitstaff was excellent and efficient. I had the cedar plank salmon with fingerling potatoes and green beans, delicious! Large portions! I enjoyed my meal. I accompanied my meal with a bottle of domestic beer. My wife had the barbecue chicken with a house salad. Her meal was a hit. We were full and happy. The restaurant and the dinner met our expectations. Nice! Now it's time to talk about the price... $23 for the salmon and $6 for the bottle of domestic beer. The main course did not include a salad. I think they are charging California prices in Utah. Because of the price/value we won't hurry back to bandits American grill. Salute!

Visiting from out of town and stopped in for dinner. The patio BBQ buffet was fantastic. Others in our group ordered off the menu and were very impressed with their food. I'd eat here again anytime!

The place has a relaxed atmosphere with good wait staff. The tri-tip was amazing, the ribs were tough. That is the only thing that kept the review from getting 5 stars.

This was my first trip to Bandits, even though I live in the area. I met a colleague there for lunch this week, and was impressed a what a cool restaurant this was. It was decorated with a western motif but still very modern. I enjoyed the large horse sculpture in the waiting area (made out of welded together tools). Service was fast, and we didn't wait long to be seated. I ordered the BBQ combo plate, which came with pulled pork ribs and mashed potatoes. I was a little disappointed in the temperature of the food, as I feel it should have been warmer. But the taste was pretty good. Lots of meet on the ribs and the BBQ was tasty as well. Lunch was finished off with the Mud Pie for dessert. Lunch for me was about $30 with tip and everything, which I felt was a little much for what I got. Portions weren't too big, and I felt you were paying more for the ambience than the amount of food. Tasted great, but a little too expensive for a lunch menu.

Bandits wouldn't be my first choice for a lunch break outside of the office. I thought it was closed because there was nobody there to greet us. We were also the only ones in the restaurant. I loved the decor, but the service could've been better. The server didn't refill our drinks until we were done with our meal. Maybe it was just an off day, but I didn't think the food or the service was worth the money we spent.

Arrived at 8:45 and the manager told me they closed early. Should be open until 9pm. So call ahead to see if they are open and don't count on their posted hours.

Bandits does it right. This is exactly what Utah needs more of. It is a Park City style restaurant without Park City. Bandits is real American BBQ. The new building is absolutely beautiful. There is a cozy fire pit waiting area right outside. Inside is even more cozy with a great collection of Utah and Americana themed art. The bar is spectacular, comfortable, and designed for socializing. The dining room is also comfortable, but slightly too well lit. Like the PC Bandits, there is a glass wall that separates the dining room from the kitchen. The staff is well trained, hospitable, and attentive. Management is engaged and actually working throughout the restaurant. The menu is almost all barbecue including burgers, pulled pork, and steak. We started with nachos and some great local amber beer (try the Bandits Evolution from Wasatch). The nachos were a different blend of baked beans, BBQ sauce, cheese, and tri tip. I liked the tri tip so much I ordered the tri tip steak for my entree. It was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor. I don't particularly care for a plate full of accessories, but I understand that this is a current trend. My fries were quickly remove from the tiny bucket they arrived in and the beans and coleslaw were pushed aside. My date ordered a tri tip sandwich opting for jerk sauce insead of bbq. The jerk sauce was spicy and nicely complemented by grilled veggies. The menu had so many good looking drink and food options, just one visit is not enough to sufficiently experience this restaurant gem. Prices are what you would expect from an upscale restaurant. Two of us with an appetizer, 4 beers, and two entrees came out to about $77 before tip, but we both had enough to warrant a doggie bag. It's safe to say that Bandits is my news favorite spot for date night. If you're looking for a new classy restaurant with a great bar and you appreciate good barbecue, you must go to Bandits.

I am telling you, this place is AWESOME!!!! I used to work at a bbq joint, and Bandits Pulled Pork Sandwich is out of this world. Everyone is super friendly. The owner Shane is always here and really makes things run smooth.

This is my first time writing on Yelp but I feel in situation I have to... If you're planning to come to Bandits in Holladay and think you are going experience the Park City Bandits - forget it!! Totally different menu and service was awful!! Literally sat for 15 minutes without drinks after ordering drinks p.s. THERE WAS NO ONE THERE for a Friday night. Food took forever - I order nachos not a complicated item, the kicker was the people I was with order bigger entrees and they got their food first!! Long story short - I will never go there again and if you want Bandits BBQ - GO to PARK CITY!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My wife and I brought the kids in for an early dinner. I got the Brick Chicken: it's fantastic. She got the Great Grains Salad with salmon which was hands down the best salad she's ever eaten. We both thought the server was great and was super attentive to our kids This is a really beautiful, really kid-friendly place. It'll for sure be our go-to place whenever we're in the Cottonwoods

Really enjoyed the look and feel of this place! Great ambiance and a nice menu with good variety. I tried the tri-tip with Jamaican jerk so look out as it can be a little spicey!

Tri-tip was really good and tender. fried pickles were not too heavy. Some of the waitstaff I struggling to learn, but Sheri was awesome. Very open and honest about food and kitchen backup. Decor and atmosphere is nice. Would go back for sure

Been several times, great decor, very mediocre food. The BBQ is "also ran" at best, the tri-tip was like rubber, ribs were all bone and over-sauced and our salad was a soupy mess swimming in dressing.

Eaten there twice this week on our annual ski trip. On both occasions the service was fast and friendly. Excellent, healthy food. Very hip decor. We've enjoyed cedar plank salmon, hamburgers and BBQ chicken with grilled asparagus. All tasty. Highly recommended.

Being a foodie and traveling to Utah for business multiple times a month. I was excited to see a new restaurant that wasn't a red robin, chilis, outback or any other major chain with below average food. Starting off the service was great, kind, and friendly. Most important, the service was prompt. I started off with a Cesar salad, which as basic as it seems, so many restaurants fail because of the dressing. And to be honest, this could be the best dressing I've ever had, and living in Los Angeles I have had my share. My main dish was the brick chicken, and it continued to impress. I always worry that places will over cook chicken just to be safe, but not Bandits. It was cooked perfect. All in all. This place was great. My compliments to the chef.

Not to be mistaken with an actual 5 star eatery. However, for what they market themselves, it is fantastic. Little bit pub, little bit steakhouse, little bit BBQ, little bit sports bar. Clean and well decorated (not like a pub, more like a steakhouse). Ate there 3 nights while in SLC on business. Had the salmon, ribs and tri-tip. All great. The coleslaw must be homemade with some type of radish or jicama (or something) and I believe a little cilantro. Sides were great and definitely try the Polygamy Porter - smooth. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful on selections. All sides and veggies well prepared.

Bandits is an easy, enjoyable date night restaurant. The food is consistently good and the service is quick. The Tri-tip steak and shrimp is pretty amazing and makes it worth hiring a babysitter and leaving my house.

The ribeye was the best melt in my mouth steak ever!! We also had the ribs and grilled shrimp. Amazing. Great decor and music. I will definitely return.

This was our second visit to Bandits and our first visit was, by far, better food. We went there because we had a coupon for a buy one get one free entree and loved their food the first time so we felt it was a safe bet. Our first visit to bandits was for appetizers only, and they were excellent (with the exception of the deviled eggs....blah). We had the nachos, grilled artichokes and wings. Friday night, we went for dinner. My husband got the BBQ combo with baby back ribs, tri tip steak, garlic fries and creamy coleslaw. The baby back ribs were dry and NOT fall of the bone, the cold slaw was anything but creamy and as much as well like both cilantro and scallions, we felt that was all you could taste. My husband's tri tip was medium on one side and medium well on the other and the fries were a bit salty. For my entree, I ordered the tri tip and shrimp with the house salad and roasted asparagus. My tri tip was cooked to perfection, and my stomach was not happy that I ate the whole thing. The asparagus was excellent and shrimp was tasty but a bit tough (I had to use both hands to get the shrimp off the skewer). I ordered the champagne vinaigrette that was so bland I had to use the salt shaker (my husband was in shock as I am a firm believer in NOT using salt at the table..... which may explain why we felt the fries were salty). In any case, we were happy to have had a coupon. $18-23/plate send a bit expensive for sub-par food preparation. We gave this a 3 star because our first experience with the appetizers was so much better than this last. If you want to give this place a shot, I would recommend you go on a Wednesday and try their 1/2 price appetizers.

great location, nice atmosphere and that is the end of the good news. The food is average at best , pricey for what you are being served, which is typical bar food with fancier descriptions and price.

We came in on Sunday with the family and dined at bandits . Our server was very friendly I think his name was Marshall on name tag but he told us his name it started with an E i think. The food was really good. I had the Tri tip and my husband had the ribs. The restaurant is very pretty and had a good vibe to it. The Manager April was also very nice and took care of us with our 20 percent local cards that they are giving out to build thier locals up. Come try this place .
